What do I do when I'm not Skating?
I love to read in my free time. I read different kinds of books.
I like to draw just about anything. Sometimes I draw people, or a scene from outside the window.
I took art lessons from my Mom's friend John Eastman who is an abstract artist and sculptor. This painting was the product
of those lessons. Since John lives in Pittsburgh and I no longer do, I can't take more lessons. Check out his website at aboutjohneastman.com.
I also like to design skating dresses. I've come up with some really good ideas. I have already
designed three of my competition dresses. I have designed both of the dresses I am competiting in this year. Becky
from Sammyskatewear makes my dresses.
I like to write stories and poetry. My stories can be really silly sometimes, but that's what makes
it fun!
Like most 14 year olds I like to shop. My mother tells me I am very expensive.
We have a Wi and Play Station 2 at home. My sister Julia and I play that often. We like to play Uno too.
I love to travel. My favorite vacation is going on a cruise. I have been on two Princess cruises.
I love cruises because it's hot out, the food is great, you get to go somewhere new almost every day and you get to meet interesting
people. I love to snorkel when I go on cruises. The last time I went snorkeling it was at Sting Ray City in the
Caymen Islands. It was so much fun.
